FM Approved FireLock® Series 765 High Pressure Butterfly Valve, Released at NFSA, Increases Efficiency in High-Rise Building Systems by 25 Percent
ORLANDO, Fla. - NFSA Seminar & Exhibition (Booth #301) - Apr. 29 - May 2, 2009 -Victaulic, a leading global producer of mechanical pipe joining and fire protection systems, has announced the FireLock® Series 765 High Pressure Butterfly Valve for fire protection systems. The Series 765 is available in sizes ranging from 2 to 12 inches and is the highest pressure Factory Mutual Approved fire protection butterfly valve on the market.
"The FireLock Series 765 High Pressure Butterfly Valve is an efficient and beneficial product for everyone involved on a project including engineers, building owners and fire protection contractors," said Rod Baechtold, product manager, Victaulic Fluid Control Technology. "Because the valve provides an additional 25 percent of usable pressure over traditional 300psi control valves, the sprinkler system in a high rise building can be designed with fewer pump rooms or storage tanks, yielding more revenue-generating space and increasing the building's profitability."
The Series 765 Butterfly Valve is FM Approved, having passed rigorous testing, including having the valve cycle fully open and closed 1000 times under full flow and full pressure.
The Series 765 Butterfly Valve is cULus Listed and FM Approved for 365psi/2517 kPa (2"-8") and 300psi/2068 kPa (10"-12") service.
Victaulic will feature the FireLock® Series 765 High Pressure Butterfly Valve at the NFSA Seminar & Exhibition in Orlando on April 29 - May 2, 2009, in Booth #301.
