Shat-R-Shield Re-Launches Line of T5 High Output Fluorescent Lamps With New Safety Coating
Salisbury, N.C. - November 13, 2006 - Shat-R-Shield, the leading and largest manufacturer of plastic-coated and shatterproof lighting products, announced the re-launch of its line of T5 high output fluorescent lamps with a new coating that performs better than any other T5 HO safety lamp.
Favored for a variety of applications because of their energy savings, T5 lamps give off more heat and UV rays than other high output fluorescents. Until now, those conditions have made safety coatings deteriorate quickly, increasing risks in the event of breakage. Through extensive testing, Shat-R-Shield has developed a new FEP (Tetrafluorethylene/ Hexafluoroproylene CoPolymer) coating that performs exceptionally, containing virtually all glass and vapors when broken.

Like all Shat-R-Shield lamps, the new T5 HO lamps are easier to maintain because they do not need shatterproof sleeves, which can also reduce lumen output. In the event of breakage, one person can replace the lamp, meaning little or no lost time on the manufacturing floor.
