Fluid Properties Sensor measures dissolved water in oil.

Press Release Summary:

Featuring 30 mm dia aluminum alloy port with O-ring seal and 4-pin integral connector, HTM2500B3C4OIL provides voltage output with max water content sensed being saturation level of liquid. Typical saturation level of lubricants and oils is between 500 and 1,000 ppm. To aid interpretation, look-up tables are provided via datasheet documentation that convert voltage output to water in oil content. Accurate to ±1°C, temperature sensor is embedded in each unit.

Fluid Properties Sensor for Oil in Water Content - HTM2500B3C4OIL

Measurement Specialties, Inc. (NASDAQ: MEAS) has just released its new fluid property sensor (HTM2500B3C4OIL) for measuring dissolved water in oil. This is critical data for oil system management as water consumes oil additives that can result in severe mechanical damages due to degradation of lubricant properties. This rugged device is specifically designed for OEM applications where cost-effectiveness, accuracy and reliability are critical.

The HTM2500B3C4OIL sensor provides a voltage output with the maximum water content sensed being the saturation level of the liquid. Typical saturation level of lubricants and oils is between 500 to 1000ppm. For ease of interpretation, look-up tables are provided via datasheet documentation that converts voltage output to water in oil content. A temperature sensor is embedded in each unit that features an accuracy of ±1°C.

This device features a 30mm diameter aluminium alloy port with O-ring seal and a 4-pin integral connector for easy installation. Its fast response time combined with reliable operation in fluids under pressure make it uniquely capable for a wide variety of applications in the industrial or truck and automotive markets. Direct interface with micro-controllers is an optional feature.

Customized versions such as specific calibrations are available upon request.
