Emerson Targets Increased Uptime of Critical Pipeline Operations with Launch of the DanielB. Series 1500 Liquid Turbine Flow Meter

HOUSTON, TEXAS (May 19, 2004) -- Emerson Process Management has launched the Daniel Series 1500 Liquid Turbine Flow Meter that uses advanced technology to increase performance and uptime of critical pipeline operations. Delivering high accuracy under the most demanding conditions, the high reliability of the new meter brings a new level of up-time to liquid turbine flow measurement, while lowering cost of ownership.

Features of the Daniel Series 1500 Liquid Turbine Flow Meter include tungsten carbide bearings that offer exceptional longevity. The Series 1500 Flow Meter also features a dual-hanger suspension system that ensures positive self-centering of the shaft, rotor, cones and bearings.

Designed for continuous pipeline operation, and with application flexibility, the Series 1500 Flow Meter offers the option of dual Universal Mounting Boxes (UMB), enabling up to four pick-offs for complete measurement redundancy. Further, one UMB can be used for flow measurement, with a second UMB offering a pulse output for proving.

The Series 1500 Liquid Turbine Meter is available in line sizes from 1.5 to 8 to complement the larger PT liquid turbine meters offered by Daniel. The pulse output electronics are available in multiple configurations offering up to four separate phase-shifted outputs.

The Series 1500 Liquid Turbine Meter includes the proven PT meter internals with the UMB and dual channel preamplifier. Standard linearity is +/-0.15% and repeatability is +/-0.02%. The UMB housing design simplifies installation and helps reduce wiring costs. The Series 1500 Liquid Turbine Meter has been designed to meet all global approvals.
