DRAPER, Utah -- Flexpoint Sensor Systems, Inc. (http://www.flexpoint.com/), today announced they are progressing on the development of a custom flow sensor utilizing their patented Bend Sensor(®) technology. The application involves the scaling down of a flow sensor to detect air flow in an enclosed area. The initial testing of prototypes has demonstrated the ability of the miniature sensor to detect flows in a confined space and leaves both parties optimistic and committed to move forward with the project. The next stage will involve the connection of the sensor to the required electronics and should be completed before the end of the year.
"This is another example of companies who have a specific need and look to Flexpoint's unique technology and its adaptability to so many different applications to meet their needs. We have been working with the agent for a Fortune 500 Company who initially contacted us to see if our technology could be scaled down to work in their application. This is similar to the sensor application being commercially produced for Bridgewater, LLC. We are excited by the results to date and are aggressively working to complete development of the sensor. The client has indicated the potential of annual volumes of several million sensors and could be in production by mid next year," stated Clark Mower, President of Flexpoint.
