Flexible Ducting handles corrosive chemicals.

Press Release Summary:

Non-porous Chemduit(TM) ducting consists of PTFE material encasing steel coil. It survives and contains corrosive chemicals in electrolytic processes and handles severe temperatures up to 550°F. Chemduit can be used in positive and negative pressures. Most diameters, lengths, and colors are available. Ducting can also be customized in conductivity, thickness, abrasion resistance, and flexibility properties.

Original Press Release:

New PTFE Flexible Ducting Product Eliminates Concern for Chemical Attack in Electrolytic Process

Chemduit(TM) is a flexible ducting material designed to survive and contain the corrosive chemicals found in numerous electrolytic processes required in aluminum smelters, chlor-alkali plants, caustic soda plants, and other challenging manufacturing sites. The non-porous ducting has a new PTFE material encasing a steel coil. Chemical attack is not a concern since PTFE is the only
material that comes in contact with the media traveling through the duct. PTFE is considered chemically inert and is capable of handling severe temperatures.

The Chemduit(TM) product can be used in positive and negative pressures. Numerous leak-proof fittings can be used with the product to suit your application. Most diameters, lengths, and colors are available and it can also be customized in conductivity, thickness, abrasion-resistance and flexibility properties. The flexible ducting product is rated for 550°F. (***)
