USM 25 Series Flaw Detectors Just Got Better
Krautkramer's USM Series of portable flaw detectors from Agfa NDT are the lightest (3.5 Ibs.), easiest-to-use, fully capable instruments on the market. The transreflective LCD excels in direct sunlight, and the rotary knob operation is quick and easy.
Now, the USM 25 series just got even better. The minimum range has been reduced to .020" (.5 mm) in steel for optimum thin range use and evaluation of echo dynamics. Curvature correction has been added to compensate trigonometric flaw location calculations when performing angle beam inspection on piping and tubular goods. Two independent monitor gates along with automatic A-Scan freeze for both gates provides maximum versatility and simplifies thickness measurements. Multiple curve DAC with two curves above and below the original recorded DAC curve enhances critical flaw sizing capabilities. An alphanumeric data logger option provides storage for 5,000 thickness readings and the ability to attach 500 A-Scans to thickness readings. A grid file structure, MIN CAP (minimum capture) measurement mode, and hi/low alarms are also included with the data logger option. An "on-board" charging option is available for added convenience. A two year conditional warranty is now standard.
