Plymouth, Ml, October, 2001 - For flat panel display applications where high brightness, high contrast and outstanding resolution are required, the new 10.4" diagonal High Brightness TFT (thin film transistor) transmissive LCD module from Optrex America offers an exceptionally high brightness of 550 nits (cd/M2). While there may be some niche products that have been modified to be brighter, the company says that this is the brightest 10.4" TFT LCD available as a standard product.
Optrex's high brightness 10.4" diagonal TFT display (P/N T-51410D104-FW-P-AD) has a screen resolution of 800 x RGB x 600, with a contrast ratio of 180:1. It offers a wide viewing angle of + 450 horizontal and +400/-150 vertical. Color depth is 6-bit, with 262,144 colors. The module is backlit by a 2-tube CCFL, and typical power consumption is 9 watts, including display and lighting system. OPA-061 Applications include POS displays, ATMs, instrumentation and gaming machines.
The module features a special 3H level hard coating surface treatment, anti-glare treatment of the front polarizer, and reliable operation at operating temperatures from 0° to 500 C.
