Streamlight® SL-20X®-LED Combines LED Efficiency with Intense Halogen Power
Industrial Users Can Select Light Intensity and Runtime to Suit Task at Hand
EAGLEVILLE, PA, - October 19, 2005 - Streamlight®, a leading manufacturer of high-performance flashlights for the industrial market, has introduced the new SL-20X®-LED, featuring Streamlight's patented dual incandescent/LED technology, to provide both power and longevity for a wide variety of industrial uses. The new light is the latest addition to the company's SL series of full-size, professional grade rechargeable flashlights, one of its most enduring product lines, and widely used by law enforcement and other professions where dependable lighting is essential.

The SL-20X-LED features a powerful ten-watt, six-volt Halogen bulb with three high-intensity white LEDs in a single high-performance reflector unit that maximizes the brightness and beam pattern of both types of light. At just 1.7 pounds, the 13.2-inch long SL-20X-LED is lightweight, durable and versatile. It offers up to 38,000 peak beam candlepower (200 lumens) of incandescent halogen light for 1.3 hours, or 40 hours of LED light (13 lumens typical). The SL-20X-LED also provides a minimum of one hour of LED emergency back-up light after the full Halogen runtime, providing industrial professionals additional security and safety.
A dual switch control allows easy selection of momentary or constant Halogen light, or constant LED light. A high-capacity sub-C nickel-cadmium battery can be recharged up to 1,000 times on 100v, 120v, 230v, 240v AC, as well as 12-Volt DC power. The SL-20X-LED also offers power failure circuitry, which turns the light on when power is cut to the charger, making it easy to locate in an emergency.
Featuring a machined aircraft-grade, o-ring sealed aluminum case, unbreakable Lexan® lens and tough Type II anodized finish, the SL-20X-LED is backed by Streamlight's "No Excuses" limited-lifetime warranty. The light retails for $194.95.
