TORRANCE, CA - December 13, 2002- LEDtronics announces a new, low-cost ($19.95) White Mini-FlashLED(TM), Pocket Flashlight that features three 5mm discrete White LED lamps that together produce a light with plenty of punch. LED light output, measured in End Foot Candles (EFC), is 90 EFC. This stylish, flashlight measures just 5-inches (130mm) in length and weighs only 2.1 ounces (58.1g), making it an ideal size for briefcases, backpacks, purses and toolboxes. Use the Mini-FlashLED for instrument illumination, map reading, low-level lighting, etc. . .
The long-lasting LED lamps operate for more than 100,000 hours (10 years) before requiring replacement. Energy-efficient, Mini-FlashLED operates between 82 hours (3 - 4 days) on three replaceable E90 N-cell alkaline batteries or equivalents. That's 20- 50 times longer than equivalent incandescent-lamped flashlights. Light turns on and off by a twist-activated switch or by a pulse switch that provides a burst of light when pressed. Unlike incandescent-lamped flashlights, LED flashlights do not change transmission characteristics with use.
