Fixed Carbon Composition Resistors improve pulse endurance.

Press Release Summary:

Non-inductive, low-capacitance resistor series RC 1/4 and RC 1/2 are virtually impervious to electro-static discharge events. Resistance range is 1 ohm to 22 Mohm, and tolerances are ±5% and ±10% at 0.25 and 0.5 V respectively, with stability class of 10%, limiting element voltage of 250 and 350 V, and isolation voltage of 100 and 500 V. They are designed for audio, video, and telecommunications industries.

New Fixed Carbon Composition Resistors Improve Pulse Endurance

Bradford, PA - October 15, 2003 - A fixed carbon composition non-inductive, low-capacitance resistor series the RC 1/4 and RC 1/2 is now available from KOA Speer Electronics. The RC 1/4 and 1/2 series are able to withstand larger short-term pulses and higher voltages than carbon film resistors and are virtually impervious to EDS (electro-static discharge) events. RC 1/4 and 1/2 resistor, provide excellent performance at high frequencies.

A wide resistance range is available with the RC 1/4 and 1/2, from 1 ohm to 22 Mohm, tolerance available are +/- 5% and +/- 10% at 0.25V and 0.5V respectively, with a stability class of 10%, limiting element voltage of 250V, 350V and isolation voltage of 100V and 500V.

Applications for the RC 1/4 and 1/2 resistors include protection from high voltage surges, and RFI suppression. These resistors are designed for the audio, video and telecommunications industries, including telephone equipment and solid state dimmers/controls. Standard lead-time for production orders is 13-15 weeks.

KOA Speer Electronics is QS 9000, ISO 9002 certified company that has been serving the electronics industry since 1980.
