Sanyo Semiconductor to Launch Light Emission Control Circuit FRD

Tokyo (JCN) - Sanyo Semiconductor Co., Ltd. announced today its launch of the RE0158M, a first recovery diode (FRD) that supplies power to the flash light emission circuit for digital cameras and mobile phone with a camera function.

The RE0158M boasts a recovery time of 35 nanoseconds. With reduced back current, flash charging time is reduced as well. The RE0158M can also be used with high pressure condensers. Furthermore, Oki has succeeded in making the industry's thinnest and smallest FRD ever, witht an MCPH3 package size of 2.0 mm x 2.1 mm x 0.85mm. Reverse voltage is 800V with an average output of 150mA.

Samples priced at 50 yen/ unit will be shipped beginning in October.
