FSI's Carbon Cartridge holds 210 grams of activated carbon and has three layers of filtration. The Microfiber Pre-Filter offers a large surface area that removes sediment. The Microfiber Filter Impregnated with Activated Carbon removes chlorine, taste, odor and most organic chemicals, and eliminates channeling (as seen in granular carbon filters) and the possibility of bypass. The Microfiber Post-Filter polishes water, removing small particles.
The cartridge's end-caps are manufactured of plastisol; all components of the Carbon Cartridge are FDA compliant. The Carbon Cartridge is 98% efficient at 15 microns. FSI's Carbon Cartridges is offered in a wide variety of lengths to fit standard canister filtration systems, and custom cartridge lengths are available.
