Sentinel® All-Welded-Construction Filter Bags Eliminate Any Chance of Bypass
Now, critical filtration applications that require zero tolerance for bypass can take advantage of Hayward's SENTINEL® all-welded-construction polypropylene or polyester felt filter bags. All-welded construction eliminates the holes in the filter media fabric caused by the sewing process used to create ordinary filter bags...holes that can allow unwanted particulate matter to bypass the filter bag.
Hayward uses a unique, patented manufacturing process that produces a filter bag with a consistent and durable welded seam-and shapes the bag to conform to the internal contour of the filter bag basket to prevent bag failure. This patented technology employs a precession-bonded cutting technique of the fabric edges that ensures smooth, bonded edges with no loose fibers or strands to contaminate the downstream flow-something that can easily occur with ordinary cut fabric edges where loose fibers or strands are present.
SENTINEL filter bags employ a patented, all-plastic ring seal to make certain that the process media does not bypass the filter bag, as can occur with other filter bag sealing systems. The
ring fits securely into the filter vessel housing in a unique manner that provides a positive, self-energized seal. The seal actually is strengthened as the pressure differential increases during filtration. The SENTINEL seal also creates a constant, radially-directed pressure to prevent the ring from collapsing into the filter basket.
SENTINEL filter bags are available in both single length, 7" x 16", and double length, 7" x 32", sizes and fit filter vessels from all manufacturers.
