At InfoComm 2002, Communications Specialties introduces the Pure Digital Fiberlink 7060 Series. The system transmits two channels of S-Video signal with four channels of audio over one single mode or multimode fiber, and is one of two new products in the Pure Digital Fiberlink line of point-to-point transmission systems that will be introduced in June.

Ideal for professional A/V or home theater installations that demand the higher quality of an S-Video signal, the system features 7.5 MHz bandwidth (chrominance and luminance) and uses standard 4-pin mini-DIN S-Video connectors. It offers the flexibility and advantages of a digital system - no crosstalk or drifting, uniform performance, outstanding signal-to-noise ratios and no adjustments - and does so affordably, with prices that are typical of traditional analog systems.

The 7060 Series is compatible with NTSC, PAL or SECAM video standards, and operates using 9-24 volt AC or DC power. The two line level audio channels may be configured by the user to have either balanced or unbalanced inputs and outputs. With a wide operating temperature range, the 7060 Series is suitable for almost any indoor or protected outdoor environment. The system consists of two units (transmitter and receiver), each equipped with a wide range power supply and indicator LEDs to continuously indicate the presence of power, video and audio signals. Systems are available in single mode and multimode versions, in box or card version. The card units fit within the model 6000A card cage, sold separately. The system is also available as a single channel S-Video, two channel audio version, the Pure Digital Fiberlink 7050
Series.

"The Pure Digital Fiberlink products that we have introduced this year have been extremely well received by our customers and dealers," remarks John Lopinto, President and CEO. "With the introduction of the 7060 Series, we continue to offer the high- performance, low-cost digital fiber optic systems that we are quickly earning a reputation for."
