TRA-CON has done it again! Introducing TRA-BOND F253M, a new fiber optic epoxy formulation designed to minimize fiber pistoning and moisture absorption while maintaining a long pot life and superior high temperature performance that users have come to expect from TRA-CON fiber optic epoxies.
TRA-BOND F253M is a two-part, low viscosity epoxy that offers a color change feature for indication of cure status. The unmixed components are yellow and turn greenish blue upon mixing; with full cure the epoxy is a deep reddish-amber. The material exhibits excellent wicking and develops strong bonds to a variety of fiber optic and optical materials that include most metals, ceramics, glass, and many plastics.
