The QLogic 10 and 20 Port 4Gb Fibre Channel (FC) Switches enable high-performing end-to-end SAN solutions using 4Gb FC technology. These standards-based, affordable 4Gb FC switches provide interoperability with FC-SW-2-compliant SANs. SAN fabric switch modules deliver the advanced functions, performance, manageability, and scalability required by the most demanding SANs. These switches have equivalent function to QLogic SANbox 5600.
Supported with BladeCenter 2Gb and 4Gb FC expansion cards
Supported with IBM TotalStorage® DS4000, 6000, and 8000 storage devices (DS6000 and 8000 support in fourth quarter 2005)

QLogic 4Gb FC Expansion Cards for BladeCenter
The QLogic 4Gb FC expansion cards provide a higher bandwidth connection between BladeCenter server blades and SAN switches. These 4Gb expansion cards allow for a true end-to-end 4Gb FC blade server to SAN solution. Using the QLogic FC Expansion Card (HBA), and either a QLogic 4Gb switch or a McDATA 4Gb switch, and the IBM TotalStorage DS4800, IBM delivers the only end-to-end 4Gb SAN solution for blade servers.
QLogic/McDATA 10-Port Upgrade for BladeCenter
This software license upgrade provides pay-as-you grow upgradability for both the QLogic and McDATA 10 Port 4Gb Switch Modules.
BladeCenter PCI I/O Expansion Unit II
This module is supported in both the BladeCenter and BladeCenter T chassis. It can support telecommunications network interfaces, including T1, E1, J1, SS7, ATM and ipSEC connectivity. The BladeCenter PCI I/O Expansion Unit II features two full-length 100 or 133 MHz PCI-X slots.
This PCI I/O expansion unit is only supported on the 8843 HS20 blades.
