Fenner Dunlop's New Belting Beats the Cold

PolarFlex(TM) Conveyor Belting is Answer to Cold Weather Applications and More

Charlotte, NC/November 1, 2006 - Fenner-Dunlop Lightweight Conveyor Belting (FDLW) is pleased to introduce PolarFlex(TM), the company's latest innovation for low temperature conveying of abrasive materials. PolarFlex(TM) can be easily identified by its distinctive blue color that symbolizes its low temperature capabilities.

"As cold, winter weather begins to descend on the northern areas, we begin to face the additional challenge low temperatures place on outdoor conveyor systems commonly found in the agricultural, food, metals/recycling, and feed/grain industries. With tough applications like these in mind, PolarFlex(TM) was designed to remain flexible in temperatures down to -40°F/-40°C and to offer better abrasion resistance than Grade II rubber," stated David Schempp, FDLW's Vice President of Sales & Marketing. "The best news is that PolarFlex(TM) is not just for cold temperature applications, but is ideal for a variety of applications where high abrasion resistance and flexibility are important."

PolarFlex(TM) is currently offered in three constructions: Interwoven 120 lb Cover X Brushed, Interwoven 120 lb Cover X Cover, and Interwoven 120 lb Crescent Top X Brushed. Beyond the initial offering, PolarFlex(TM) technology is available in standard interwoven and plied carcasses, an almost endless variety of smooth cover configurations, and most cover impressions. PolarFlex(TM) can be easily fabricated using common thermoplastic techniques.
