AAEON Releases the AEC-6401, One of the World's Slimmest Compact Embedded Controllers, Featuring Intel® Atom(TM) N2600
(Taipei, Taiwan) — AAEON, a major developer of industrial computing solutions, today releases the AEC-6401 Compact Embedded Controller with energy efficient Intel® Atom™ N2600 1.60GHz processor and Intel® NM10 Chipset. “Despite being one of the world’s slimmest fanless embedded computers at just 20mm thickness, the AEC-6401 packs enough processing power to serve in factory automation, environment monitoring, digital signage and Government/Public Safety in-vehicle computing applications, were space constraints are a major issue,” says Lee Lee, Product Manager for AAEON’s Panel Appliance and Automation Division.

In addition, there is an option for wireless network connectivity. The anti-vibration solid brushed aluminum enclosure is also highly attractive and light-weight and measures at only 125mm x 77mm in size, while still being able to provide ample component protection against harsh environments and temperatures ranging from -20°C ~ 50°C (-4°F ~ 122°F), with passive heat dissipation and airflow.
The AEC-6401 also has rich data gathering features via its mini-SATA connection for high speed, solid-state data storage functionality, enabling analysis data or immersive High-Definition multimedia information to be output through its mini HDMI link. Installing this diminutive controller is also made easier with Din-Rail and standard VESA mounting set-up options and as a result, is able to fit in almost any panel design available today.
