Failsafe Switch News Release

Feb 7, 2006 Portland, OR - Lamb Industries, Inc. is pleased to announce its award-winning product, the Failsafe switch.

The Failsafe switch is designed as foot pedal on battery powered toy cars. The children's safety is the first priority for this switch, both in design and production quality control. With patented design and technology, this switch can prevent the toy car from "run-away" issues if the switch contacts weld under over current conditions. Nor can the driver turn on the vehicle when one set contacts are welded together.

This switch is also protected up to IP67 against water and dust; considering the long life of the toy car, the switch has very long life cycles, up to 200,000 loading cycles. It has been used by many toy car manufacturers worldwide since its production in year 1999.

To meet yet a different toy car market, Lamb Industries Inc. has come out two versions of Failsafe switch. The bigger size is designed for 12VDC battery powered cars, while the smaller one is for 6VDC. The big Failsafe can take 100A inrush at 12VDC and 30A continuing current; and the small one works for 10A 6VDC with 30A inrush.

Due to its special safety feature, the Failsafe switch can also be used in other industries, like go cars, shopping cars, industrial tools, etc.

Normal cost for the big Failsafe switch (p/n PB-12L01) is $1.89 per 1,000pcs; for the small one (p/n PB-12J01) is $1.06 per 1,000pcs. For additional information, please contact Lamb Industries Inc. at 800-824-9374, or online at www.lambind.com.
