EyeLock Debuts First Laptop with Embedded EyeLock ID Iris Authentication Technology
Pre-production device created in partnership with Wistron NeWeb Corp. shows what's possible to both public and manufacturers
LAS VEGAS -- LVCC, South Hall, Booth 2100 -EyeLock Inc., a market leader of iris-based identity authentication solutions and developer of first consumer accessible iris authentication device, myris, today announced it will showcase a pre-production laptop with EyeLock ID technology embedded at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show. Created in partnership with leading global original design manufacturer Wistron NeWeb Corporation (WNC) (TSE:6285), the laptop uses EyeLock's iris identity authentication technology to provide users seamless security for critical access points.
In November, EyeLock announced an agreement with WNC to embed EyeLock's patented iris authentication technology across PCs, set-top boxes, network devices and automotive applications. The partnership established EyeLock as the first company to embed iris authentication technology in an original design manufacturer (ODM) device.
EyeLock's technology provides an unprecedented level of convenience and security with unmatched biometric accuracy, making it the most proven way to authenticate ones identity aside from DNA. EyeLock developed and brought to market a proprietary iris authentication technology that looks at more than 240 points in each eye, and is one of the only companies in the world to utilize dual-eye authentication.
