Exinda Boosts Small Business Productivity for Less Than $US1,000 Investment

SEATTLE, Nov. 15 --Exinda Networks today launched the world's first comprehensive network management tool for small businesses for under $US1,000.

The Exinda 1700 was designed to meet the requirements of small offices that rely heavily on Web-based applications such as file sharing, video streaming and peer-to-peer networking.

The Exinda 1700 can accelerate small business applications by up to 400 percent through data compression, traffic shaping and traffic optimization. The Exinda 1700 prioritizes business critical data allowing important applications to operate at maximum speeds and throttling back non-critical traffic such as emails.

"The Exinda 1700 ensures your small business network operates at 100 percent efficiency in line with business requirements," said Exinda Network's executive director Con Nikolouzakis. "Our product will go a long way in speeding application response time, keeping employees at the height of productivity."

The Exinda 1700, which runs at speeds up to 2 Megabits per second (Mbps) is priced at $US999.00.

Similar full-featured network management appliances cost up to $US50,000 and can consume a significant amount of management resources to operate.

Mr. Nikolouzakis said the Exinda 1700 offers all the features of a $US50,000 device to suit a small business of five to 10 people.

In addition to increased network performance, the Exinda 1700 also reduces the need for greater bandwidth by providing a complete set of traffic shaping tools. This allows small businesses to define business critical applications and ensure they receive maximum bandwidth.

Peer-to-peer drag on networks can be eliminated in five minutes with the Exinda 1700 and voice over IP (VoIP) traffic can be significantly improved without a network upgrade.

Exinda's features and functionality include:
o Automatic discovery and historical monitoring of IP traffic and
application performance
o Service level verification alerts
o Flexible and comprehensive reporting
o An adaptive traffic optimization engine

The first customer ship date for the Exinda 1700 will be November 30, 2005.
