Exeros Supports IBM Information Server by Delivering Data Transformation Discovery

Exeros DataMapper Helps Customers Discover Sensitive Data, Migrate from Hand-Coded Data Integration Processes to IBM Information Server

ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 16 // -- IBM Information on Demand Global Conference -- Exeros(TM), Inc., an innovator in data mapping and automated data transformation discovery software, announced today at the IBM Information on Demand Global Conference, that its industry-leading software, Exeros DataMapper(TM), is supporting IBM Information Server. Exeros DataMapper automatically discovers and maps hidden sensitive data, forgotten business rules and unknown data transformations and, using a specially designed interface, will generate the input to IBM Information Server where information is then cleansed, transformed and delivered throughout the enterprise. The automated nature of this process drives the migration of legacy data integration processes to IBM Information Server's data integration platform in a fraction of the time and cost than can be achieved through manual means.

"Integrating disparate data is a major challenge facing large enterprises today," said Todd Goldman, vice president, marketing, Exeros. "IBM Information Server is a great platform for understanding, cleansing, transforming and delivering information stored in the enterprise. However, the more you know about your data and data relationships, the more value you can get from the platform."

Exeros developed its DataMapper solution to map data and discover data transformations the same way data analysts do in the real world -- by examining data values. DataMapper software analyzes the actual data, not just the metadata, and identifies the "hidden" relationships between data residing in disparate databases and applications. The Exeros approach delivers more comprehensive and accurate data mappings, while providing guided analysis and an intuitive and familiar graphical interface to the analysts.

"We value the contributions Exeros can deliver helping customers to rapidly leverage IBM Information Server and create unprecedented access to trusted information," said Pete Fiore, vice president, IBM Information Integration Solutions. "By collaborating with Exeros, we can solve some of the most pressing information management challenges faced by organizations today."

Exeros DataMapper is used by companies to lower the risk and speed the deployment of sensitive data flow discovery, master data management, hand-code-to-ETL migration and legacy data migration projects, saving companies thousands of data analyst hours and millions of dollars.
