EVA Films Make Noise Quietly

Stanley, WI, September 1st, 2011 - Make noise quietly is quite the oxymoron, but also the truth when it comes to the use of EVA (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate) in packaging and processing applications from components of solar panels to medical bags.

Polyethylene-based EVA resins provide a wide processing range for applications that require minimal to no stress cracking and are quiet - crinkle free - when in use, all while being odorless and safe for direct skin contact.

EVA is most commonly produced in a polyethylene film with an EVA content 2-24% and can be custom blended to optimize performance.

"The Film Tech team was willing to run small quantities of an EVA resin that we had specified for a medical application. Our incumbent supplier had a supply disruption, so Film Tech met our near-term demands, and then subsequently qualified an alternative EVA resin to prevent any future supply concerns at our facility", according to a new product development manager. "The market dynamics today require quick turnaround and a willingness to think beyond the next PO. Tim and his Film Tech team proved their worth!"

EVA film is manufactured specifically for the end use needs in widths from 12"-60" in 2-20 mil thicknesses.
