Eurotech: Parvus Rugged Subsystems to be Deployed in Boeing 737 Business Jets

ARINC Engineering Services, LLC uses DuraCOR 820 Mission Computers and DuraMAR 3230 Mobile Routers for Boeing 737 Communication Upgrades

Amaro - Eurotech subsidiary Parvus announced that its DuraCOR 820 mission computer and DuraMAR 3230 network router subsystems are to be deployed as part of a satellite and communications upgrade for the Boeing 737 Business Jet. Initial units were purchased by Boeing Company subcontractor ARINC Engineering Services, LLC and will be delivered during Q1 2011.

To fulfill the contract, Parvus is providing the units via the Parts Manufacturer Approval Procedure (PMA) Order 8110.42C as specified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The PMA clears the DuraCOR 820 computer and DuraMAR 3230 router for use on any Boeing 737 platform. A favorable audit of Parvus' AS9100 aerospace quality certified manufacturing and MIL-STD system qualification documents supports the PMA acceptance for civil aviation use.

ARINC Engineering Services, LLC selected the DuraCOR® 820 rugged mission processor system as it is optimally designed for space/weight-constrained airborne deployments where reliable high performance computing is required.

The DuraMAR® 3230 was also an ideal choice for the Boeing 737 as this Cisco IOS-managed mobile network router provides an ultra-rugged chassis optimized for harsh vehicle and aircraft installations.

Note: even though the amount of the first supplies is not considerable for Eurotech, the contract itself is quite important for the Company, because it shows a strategic position in the American Aeronautics sector which should likely bring to obtaining further volume orders. Should this be the case, Eurotech reaffirms its commitment on timely informing the market.
