Ethernet Demarcation Devices feature integral SLA meter.

Press Release Summary:

EtherNID(TM) Ethernet Demarcation Devices are available with Performance Assurance Agent(TM), which allows constant, in-service monitoring of Service Level Agreement (SLA) parameters. Silicon-based architecture lends to minimal latency and jitter, allowing it to yield precision measurements with 1 µsec resolution. With this solution, carriers and operators ensure SLAs throughout end-to-end path, 24/7, and have means with which to map-out network health.

Accedian Networks Introduces Industry's Most Accurate Ethernet SLA-Meter(TM)

LAS VEGAS, Feb. 22 -- CompTel Spring 2007 Convention & Trade Expo -- Accedian Networks announced today that it has added a highly accurate Performance Assurance Agent(TM) into its EtherNID(TM) Ethernet Demarcation Device product line.

The Accedian EtherNID(TM) now allows constant in-service monitoring of Service Level Agreement (SLA) parameters including: packet loss, latency (delay), jitter (delay variation) and continuous End-To-End path Continuity Check (availability).

Using a unique silicon-based architecture, the EtherNID(TM) features the market's lowest intrinsic latency and jitter, thus allowing it to yield the highest-precision measurements with an outstanding 1 microsecond resolution and provide a true view of the end customer experience.

"In a world where Best-Effort Carrier Ethernet is no longer acceptable or sufficient," said Patrick Ostiguy, CEO of Accedian Networks, "the EtherNID(TM) now allows Carriers and Operators to ensure and guarantee their Service Level Agreements throughout the End-to-End path, on an ongoing basis, 24/7, and provides a reliable way to Map-out the Health of their Network."

Accedian Networks' PAA(TM) operates in a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint fashion and is capable of monitoring multiple simultaneous flows (Multi-SLA(TM)). Furthermore, it operates at both Layer 2 and Layer 3 (IP) and can assure SLAs on a per-VLAN, per-CoS, per-ToS and per-EVC basis.

Accedian Networks (booth #1007) will be exhibiting its EtherNID(TM) solutions as part of CompTel Spring 2007 Convention & Trade Expo, Las Vegas, NV, Venetian Hotel, February 27th-March 1st, 2007.

About the EtherNID(TM) product family:
