Associated Milk Producers to Participate in Beta Test

Marshfield, WI - June 10, 2009 - ESE, Inc., the Engineering Solutions Experts, today announced the Beta release of Process Optimizer Version 4.0 at the IFT Annual Meeting & Food Expo 09 in Anaheim, California. Process Optimizer Version 4.0 is the software that drives the company's Q5 Near Infrared Analyzers. Together they test and measure constituents in food and beverage products for better quality and reduced waste. Process Optimizer Version 4.0 is available in Beta version with final release imminent this Fall. Associated Milk Producers (AMPI) will be among the first beta customers to use the software. AMPI, a dairy marketing cooperative, operates manufacturing sites in six Midwestern states and will test the software at its Portage, Wisconsin location.

Donald Weideman, plant manager from AMPI states, "At AMPI, our mission is to maximize the return on milk marketed and equity invested. Process Optimizer 4.0 helps us do that by providing test results and data that enable us to manage our operations more tightly. By participating in this Beta, we will gain better reporting tools to help drive our business forward. It's something our cooperative members require to make sound business decisions."

New Process Optimizer features include an upgrade to MS SQL 2005 to make daily database management more configurable, effective and efficient. The software also includes SQL Reporting Services, which enable ESE customers to quickly and effectively extract business data and create reports that help manage their daily operations.

"ESE is committed to developing products and services that immediately help our customers improve their operations and provide a fast return on investment," stated Tom Walther, President of ESE, Inc. "This beta release of Process Optimizer Version 4.0 will address our customers need for better reporting and analytics capabilities in our application. With the support of AMPI, we can continue to improve our reporting abilities and deliver a solution that will meet the needs of our customers.

About Process Optimizer Version 4.0

With Process Optimizer Version 4.0, manufacturers in the food and beverage industries are able to define products and product constituents to be tested and compare the testing results to calibration models in the application.

Results are viewable at a mainframe terminal or human machine interface (HMI) portals, making it easier for operators to catch inferior product. Historical results are available for user friendly reports and exporting to other applications for analysis and decision making. Within Process Optimizer 4.0, calibration models can be updated if products or constituents change over time.

ESE, Inc. will demonstrate the Process Optimizer Version 4.0 and the Q5 Near Infrared Analyzer at IFT Food Expo 09, booth #1465.
