Electrolock, Inc. Introduces Pre-Measured EPOXYKITS for Fast, Reliable, Electrical Coating Performance
Hiram, Ohio-(date)-Electrolock Inc., a leader in custom high-performance electrical and thermal insulation solutions, introduces E958-12A Epoxykits, a pre-measured two-component epoxy coating system. "User benefits of Epoxykits start with our 50-gram and 100-gram pre-measured packaging, which allows for mixing of both components within the provided package--while both components are still enclosed," says Joe Williams III, President of Electrolock. The brush-on coating compound mixed with Epoxykits is recommended for electrical and general maintenance purposes where a fast room temperature cure from a thin mil coating is desired.
The coating cures tack-free in four (4) to eight (8) hours with a complete cure after 96 hours at room temperature. To speed cure, a temperature of 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Centrigrade) for five (5) minutes will set the compound completely and baking is not required to achieve final properties.
Properties after cure include insulation resistance at 77 degrees Fahrenheit (25 degrees Centigrade) at 1.1 x 1012 ohms, and Shore D hardness rating at 82.
Epoxykits have an approximate potlife of 20 minutes, and one (1) year shelf life prior to mixing.
