ECM-3624, Fully Packed EPIC Board Reduces System Cost
Evalue Technology Inc., provides high performance-to-cost ratio product with the release of a new EPIC form factor based on VIA CN400 chipset with powerful graphics core and Eden ESP10K processor. Built on the EPIC platform measuring 4.5" x 6.5" (115 mm x 165 mm) size, the ECM-3624 is just slightly larger than 3.5" HDD size, but accommodates supplementary functionality including dual LVDS, TV-out, 5.1 CH audio and one optional 4/5/8-wire resistive touch screen controller. Furthermore, it supports an impressive range of high-speed storage and networking connectivity options such as two Serial ATA ports, four USB 2.0 ports and dual 10/100Mbps Ethernet controllers.
The CN400 chipset integrates S3 Graphics UniChrome Pro IGP graphics core that features Chromotion CE video display engine with hardware MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 acceleration, and poses as the ideal hardware platform for MPEG-2 & MPEG-4 based video applications. Additionally, it also supports dual independent display with LVDS, TFT panels and TV-out interface compliant to NTSC/PAL system.
ECM-3624 also includes the vital features required for a stand-alone system including 5.1-channel Audio, dual 10/100Mbps Ethernets, one serial ports, CompactFlash socket, as well as one PCI-104 interface for system expansion. Evalue's EPIC models also share the same mechanical design and placement, which further provides system integrators more options and smoother production transition in future.
ECM-3624 provides a comprehensive solution and reduces the total cost of ownerships.
