Leica Microsystems Presents the New Leica EG1150 H & C Modular Embedding Station
The EG1150's modular components offer the flexibility to position the instrument for either right- or left-handed workflow.
The EG1150 incorporates two separate components, the EG1150 C cold plate and the EG1150 H heated paraffin dispensing module. The EG1150 C's cooling surface accommodates 70 molds. The EG1 150 H offers programmable features forworking times and temperatures, a large, three liter paraffin reservoir and an adjustable dispensing flow rate. Other features include:
o Two heated, removable paraffin waste trays
o Removable and interchangeable cassettes and mold warmer
o Capacity of approximately 70 cassettes and/or molds
o Adjustable temperatures for all modules between 55°C and 70°C
The system also offers a spacious, easy-to-clean work surface, removable heated forceps holder for 6 forceps and a large Peltier cold spot for specimen orientation.
