Embedded Vision PC Goes for a Ride
October 2003 Burlington, MA-Leutron Vision, a pioneer in image acquisition, announces the release of an advanced power supply for its embedded vision PC, LVmPC. The tiny 3.5" x 3.5" x 7.5" unit is suitable for operation in vehicles such as cars and trucks, or wherever space and/or environmental requirements prevent the use of standard PCs.
LVmPC is the most versatile embedded vision system on the market. It interfaces to virtually any camera (Digital, Analog, Color, Monochrome, USB, Firewire, CameraLink) and supports wireless communication or SCSI connectivity through 3rd party PCMCIA or PMC cards.
LVmPC reduces time to market for embedded vision applications because it is 100% PC compatible, supporting Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP + Embedded versions, Linux or VxWorks. It uses the ultra-low voltage PentiumIII (512k cache, 478-pin uFC-BGA) and the Intel I815E chipset; low power/cost Celeron (256k cache) versions are also available. LVmPC is equipped standard with Ethernet, VGA (DVI-I), Firewire (IEEE-1394), CompactFlash I/II, USB ports and serial ports, just like a standard full size PC.
