AAEON Launches a New 3.5" Embedded Board with the Intel® Atom(TM) N455/D525 Processor: GENE-LN05 Rev. B
Taipei, Taiwan -- AAEON, a premier Industrial PC manufacturer, is pleased to launch a new 3.5" SubCompact Board: The GENE-LN05 Rev. B. This single board computer is a cost-effective solution using the new Intel® Atom(TM) platform for any system that can be embedded into applications for Industrial Automation, Transportation, Defense and Government markets.
GENE-LN05 Rev. B encompasses the Intel® Atom(TM) N455/D525 Processors with Intel® ICH8M chipset. The Ethernet chipsets are Intel® 82567V & 82583V. Its system memory supports up to 2 GB of DDR3 667/800 memory for the N455 processor and up to 4 GB of DDR3 667/800 SODIMM for the D525 processor in one 204-pin SODIMM socket. For high-speed network transmissions, the GENE-LN05 Rev. B equips two 10/100/1000Base-TX RJ-45 ports to offer high speed Ethernet communications. Furthermore, the GENE-LN05 Rev. B offers seven USB 2.0 ports, six COM ports, one Parallel port, one CompactFlash(TM) and an 8-bit digital I/O interface. This rich variety of I/O makes the GENE-LN05 Rev. B a great embedded solution to expand and connect with various appliances.

This model has expansion options in the form of one Mini-Card interface and an LPC bus to provide flexibility," added Eric.
The GENE-LN05 Rev. B supports ample storage and interfaces for operating systems through the two SATA3.0 channels and one Type 2 CompactFlash(TM) socket. In addition, this model equips optional onboard Trusted Platform Module (TPM) to provide high-level security capability for applications that demand locked down systems. The GENE-LN05 Rev. B comes standard with +12VDC input support with optional +5VDC input support with the N455 processor to fit diverse power supply solutions.
