Commtouch Launches Enhanced Antivirus for Email Solution



Dual Approach Solution Combines Zero-Hour Cloud-Based Detection with High-Performance Antivirus

SAN FRANCISCO -- RSA Conference -- Commtouch® (NASDAQ: CTCH) today announced the availability of its enhanced Antivirus for Email solution which uses a unique dual-detection approach to ensure malware identification from the zero-hour of an outbreak through any stage of the malware lifecycle. Fast detection of new malware is made possible by a combination of:

-- GlobalView Cloud zero-hour detection - utilizing the vast resources of Commtouch's GlobalView(TM) Cloud to quickly identify malware outbreaks by analyzing patterns in email structure and distribution.
-- High performance, multi-layer file scanning - including techniques such as heuristics, algorithmic scanning, signature based scanning, and emulation to accurately detect malware in email attachments.
