PULSMATE(TM) Electronic Flowmeter Register Receives Hazardous Area Approval
Greenwood, South Carolina - The Neptune® PULSMATE(TM) Electronic Register with standard temperature display is now UL and CSA approved to be Intrinsically Safe, Class 1, Division 1, Groups A, B, C and D T3C; Ex ia, to 40°C (104°F). This adds local and remote supervisory electronic batching control capability to the Neptune magnetic drive mechanical flowmeter line in hazardous area processing. The new capability is of particular significance for manufacturing of paints, sealants, adhesives and related products compounded with organic solvents.
This battery or external DC-powered register offers a choice of simultaneous rate and total or resettable and cumulative total modes, enabling the user to track both flow rate and cumulative volume. The PULSMATE Register also includes a scalable pulse output and an optional 4-20 mA analog output for interfacing with supervisory control, enabling remote totalization for anytime, anywhere process monitoring.
The PULSMATE Register has an optional alarm feature that signals when flow rate is not within upper or lower set point limits. The dual totalizer version has a manually resettable total for use in measuring repetitive processes and a cumulative total for tracking flow over an extended time.
The PULSMATE Register features electronic calibration for fast set-ups. Settings are configured by menu-driven programming using a four-key keypad and LCD display. The external housing of Engineering Thermoplastic Polyurethane (ETPU) combines best properties of plastic and metal for toughness and resistance to aggressive chemicals.
The PULSMATE Register is retrofittable to existing Neptune 1/2", 1", 2", and 3" Type MP and 1-1/2" and 2" magnetic drive Type S flowmeters.
