KROHNE's ALTOFLUX 2W features unique hybrid power booster
KROHNE, Inc., a global technology leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of accurate, reliable and cost effective level and flow measurement products for the process industries, presents the FM approved ALTOFLUX 2W hybrid electromagnetic flowmeter (EMF). The first and only EMF with hybrid connection technology, the ALTOFLUX 2W's advanced power booster enables operation in a 2x2 wire connection mode for difficult applications.
The ALTOFLUX 2W is now FM rated nonincendive for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D; Class I, Zone 2, Group IIC with intrinsically safe electrodes for use in Class I, Division 1, Groups A, B, C and D; Class II, III, Division 2, Groups F and G with intrinsically safe electrodes for use in Class II, III, Division 1, Groups F and G.
Unlike other loop-powered magmeters, the ALTOFLUX 2W features an available power booster to meet the most stringent process conditions. Despite the limitations of most 2-wire magmeters, improved electronics enable the ALTOFLUX 2W to handle 99% of all applications. The ALTOFLUX 2W can be upgraded to 2x2 with no process turndown or meter removal and without impact on rating, cabling or calibration.
Ideal for water and wastewater, chemical and pharmaceutical applications, the ALTOFLUX 2W's advanced technology is able to handle the most difficult of applications, including fluids with solid contents or low conductivity. Its high reliability enables extremely stable and accurate results with steady or pulsating flows. The FM approved ALTOFLUX 2W features an intrinsically safe connection, as either a 2 or 2x2 wire system, and a proven, stainless steel reinforced Teflon®-PFA liner.
A low power instrument with 4-wire performance, ALTOFLUX 2W features improved power efficiency and increased noise suppression.
