Electrical Safety Tester offers 4-in-1 capability.

Press Release Summary:

Model 4320 performs AC hipot, DC hipot, insulation resistance, and ground bond tests through one DUT connection. In AC hipot mode, unit outputs up to 5 kV at 20 mA and in DC hipot mode it will output up to 6 kV at 5 mA. Insulation resistance test mode offers test range up to 1,000 Megohms, while ground bond test mode provides up to 30 A of test current. Model 4320 includes electronic ramp and dwell, milliohm offset, and 6 memories that provide 6 steps per memory.

New Model, 4320 Offers 4-in-1 Test Capability

at a Low Price of Only $2,895.

Lake Forest, Illinois, July 2004 - Announced today by Slaughter Company is the addition of the 4320 enhanced 4-in-1 electrical safety tester to their product line. This single instrument will perform the four most common electrical safety tests, AC Hipot, DC Hipot, Insulation Resistance and Ground Bond, through one Device Under Test (DUT) connection. In AC Hipot mode, the 4320 can output up to 5 KV at 20 mA and in DC Hipot mode it will output up to 6 KV at 5 mA. Unlike other instruments these are continuous duty cycle ratings so the 4320 does not have any requirement to be shut down during the day even when used at full output. The Insulation Resistance test mode offers a test range of up to 1000 Megohms while the Ground Bond test mode provides up to 30 Amps of test current.

The 4320 only provides the features and technology needed to cost-effectively run a production line. The simple menu driven setup allows manufacturers to quickly program and save individual test parameters. The 4320 also offers six memories that provide six steps per memory. This is a benefit for manufacturers that have multiple products on the same production line, eliminating the need to re-program the tester each time a different product needs to be tested. For those manufacturers, who want to perform electrical safety tests remotely, the 4320 offers enhanced PLC Remote control including remote memory recall. In addition, the 4320 offers features like electronic ramp and dwell, and milliohm offset, all of which help maintain consistent test results.

This new test solution offers manufacturers an all-in-one test solution without the cost and expense of fully-automated test systems. For more information and detailed specifications contact the Slaughter Company.

Additional features of the 4320 include:
o Safety Agency Listing
o Front Panel Calibration
o Low Current Sense
o Tamper Proof Front Panel Controls
o Line and Load Regulation
o Adjustable Output Current & Milliohm Trip Current
