Clare Instruments Announces New Versatile Safetest Manufacturing Unit
Multi-purpose automatic or manual safety tester meets requirements of IEC/EN/UL standards associated with the manufacture of white and brown electrical goods
Tampa, FL-Clare Instruments, a division of the renowned electrical safety testing provider the Seaward Group, introduces the latest in electrical safety testers. Incorporating seven fundamental electrical safety tests in a compact bench top instrument, the new tester is designed specifically for low to medium volume electrical production environments.
The instrument's combination of versatility and ease of use make it the first choice of manufacturers that require a range of relatively straightforward safety tests to be carried out on a variety of electrical and electronic products.
Easy to operate, the instrument can be used as a simple manual tester or with varying degrees of automatic test sequencing. Complete with a full QWERTY keypad and on- screen user instructions, the SafeTest performs earth/ground bond, insulation resistance, flash/hipot, leakage, short-to-line and run/load tests.
All tests are individually user selectable and an internal memory has the capacity to store the results of 6,000 tests. Special safety interlocks and protection routines provide enhanced operator safety and a full range of test station accessories can also be supplied, including warning beacons.
The SafeTest is available with an optional safety label printer that enables the automatic production of test tags, labels and test reports.
