NTI Announces New APEX 150 Electrical Connectors for Heavy Duty Environments
Solon, OH - June 20, 2007 - NTI, a dedicated, stocking representative of electrical connectors to the North American Commercial Vehicle and Specialty Vehicle markets, now offers a new line of APEX 150 sealed electrical connectors for rugged environments, including engine compartments and off-road equipment.
The APEX 150 connectors are built around a new 1.5mm blade and receptacle terminal system, capable of carrying up to 25 amps of current for wire-to-wire and wire-to-device applications. The APEX 150 line meets or exceeds USCAR standards and includes 10-circuit and 16-circuit connectors as well as a 14-circuit hybrid connector, featuring a combination of 1.5mm and 2.8mm terminals for up to 40 amps of current.
"APEX terminal technology is a tested and proven performer, particularly in harsh environments that include heat, moisture, vibration and rugged handling," says Walter York, president of NTI. All APEX connectors feature a high normal force, low insertion force technology, proven reliable and safe in over 15 years of use. They come pre-assembled, requiring that only the terminal wire leads be inserted and the terminal assurance device set. There are no loose parts and no separate seals that have to be crimped to the wire. APEX connectors are manufactured by FCI.
