Plymouth Bundles Premium Electrical Color Coding Tape In A Convenient Six-Pack

CANTON, Mass. (October 28, 2004) - Plymouth Electrical Tape, the oldest manufacturer of electrical tapes in the United States, presents its 7 mil, all-weather, professional grade, pressure sensitive vinyl tape in a new, convenient, reusable six color multi-pack. The new multi-pack provides the user with a cost-effective method to purchase a wide range of colors in a convenient re-closeable package to protect the tape when not in use. Plymouth's widely used, professional grade Premium 37 electrical tape is used for both color-coding and insulating. The tape is flame retardant and lead free. Ideal for quick identification of electrical phases, circuits, feeders, and branches, the tapes come in a variety of colors: red, blue, white, green, yellow, and orange. Premium 37, like its professional grade counterpart, Premium 111 Black and Grey Electrical Tapes, can be used as primary insulation for splices up to 600 volts. It has a high dielectric strength, is extremely elastic and conformable, and meets the following industry standards: ASTM-D-1000, UL 510, and CSA 22.2. "We bundled the six colors together in one set as a service to our customers. We already offer nine colors individually but people in the field want more options when working with color coding tape," said Paul Neuger, Plymouth's Director of Sales and Marketing. The multi-pack contains rolls of 1/2-in. x 20-ft. tape, allowing an electrician to have the six colors plus black readily available on the tape chain of a tool pouch. In addition to its electrical uses, Premium 37 is also frequently used to identify container contents, mark piping and conduit systems, labeling sports equipment, and as warning tape. The 1/2-in. x 20-ft. rolls are also available in convenient 10-packs of single colors, and in plastic cans of 3/4-in. x 66-ft. rolls, packaged in a 10-pack dispenser.
