Samplers are high on speed and accuracy but low on costs in remote locations
The new Jiskoot 710EL range of electric samplers gives fast and accurate sampling of low abrasion, low viscosity fluids in a wide range of crude oil or refined product applications and chemical processes.
These samplers have been designed for use in remote sites or locations where there is no plant air. They have a low cost of installation, operation and maintenance, operating for between one and three million cycles between overhauls and allowing easy in-line servicing when required.
Suitable for most liquids, they take a large number of individual 'sample grabs' of 1cc or 3cc that together accurately represent the quality of the fluid. Positive displacement is
used to discharge the sample, making the 'grab' extremely repeatable and unaffected by pressure or viscosity changes, while also reducing the likelihood of blockages.
Sampling rate is up to 50 per minute suiting applications where there is limited time to take the required sample volume, such as small batches.
The 710EL range comprises a probe and cell sampler which both use an electric motor directly coupled to the sampler. Sampling is actuated by an industry standard solenoid with a manual override to permit individual sample grabbing for test/calibration or trouble-shooting.
Two probe lengths are offered, for use in 8in to 52in pipelines which can be mounted in any orientation through a 2in or 3in ANSI 150/300# RF flange. The probes can be withdrawn at full process pressure using a Jiskoot hydraulic extractor and have a unique flow-profiled aerofoil head that reduces the influence of 'bluff body' effects to ensure representative sampling.
The standard 710EL cell is a 1 in full bore sampler designed for wafer mounting in bypass (fast loop) sampling systems, and a flanged version is offered.
Cenelec hazardous area certification can be provided and Viton or Kalrez seals can be supplied for applications with MTBE. All wetted parts are made from stainless steel and a NACE version is available.
