New Electric-Driven Drum Filler is Explosion-Proof: No Compressed Air Needed
A new, explosion-proof drum filler, designed for sub-surface liquid filling operations in areas without compressed air, has been introduced by Specialty Equipment of Houston, Texas.
The new filler, Model DF-5510E, features a ¾ hp, XP inverter-duty, electric motor with torque limiting clutch and gear reducer that allows the filler to operate in a Class I, Division 1 environment, and includes a 1,000 lb capacity NTEP approved scale and weight meter, a remote NEMA 4 control panel, and an automatic fume skirt for vapor collection.
Other options include powered and gravity in-feed and discharge conveyors, lances and valves in various materials (Kynar, PVC, Teflon or Hastelloy), heat-traced lances, lance clean-out flush adapters, bung and capping tools, grounding clamps, nitrogen purge, operator platforms, sampling valves, lance racks, data printouts, and more.
