EDM Wire has paraffin-free surface.

Press Release Summary:

MEGACUT® grip brass wire, with composition of 63/37Zn, has tensile strength of 900 N/mm², for part straightness and accurate geometry. Physical straightness and paraffin-free surface provide reliable automatic threading and smooth unwinding in Japanese wire machines. Wires are available on conventional spools, or 12-sided, non-rolling bedra® spool.

Original Press Release:

MegaCut(R) grip Brass EDM Wire

GISCO is pleased to announce its latest development in plain brass wire electrodes - MEGACUT® grip. The new MEGACUT® grip brass EDM wire, with its parafin-free surface, will help insure reliable automatic wire threading and smooth unwinding in many of the new Japanese wire machines.

MEGACUT® grip with a composition of 63/37Zn, provides two other equally important features. It has a tensile strength of 900 M/mm² for part straightness and accurate geometry, and it has excellent physical straightness for reliable automatic threading, similar to the long established and successful MEGACUT® 900 brass EDM wire.

The combined excellent mechanical properties and cleanliness of MEGACUT® grip provides an economical solution for reliable unwinding, auto-threading and good cutting qualities.

MEGACUT® grip joins the versatile MEGACUT® series made for Japanese machines, including: MEGACUT® A for carbide and PCD's, MEGACUT® D for speed, MEGACUT® W for steep tapers, MEGACUT® T for less demanding tapers, MEGACUT® HS for tall parts and poor flushing, and the long familiar MEGACUT® 900 plain brass for less-sensitive auto-threaders.

All GISCO® MEGACUT® wires are available on conventional spools, or the new, 12-sided, non-rolling bedra® spool for proper storage and fewer unspooling problems.

GISCO Equipment, Inc. was established in 1974 and is the world's single largest supplier of high performance EDM wires from Berkenhoff, GmbH, Germany. Today GISCO offers a complete line of EDM Wires suited to older as well as the latest high-speed machines.
