Charmilles' New HD 30CNC Offers EDM Drilling Solutions



Lincolnshire, Illinois, September 8, 2004 - Charmilles has announced the release of the new HD 30CNC, a fully automatic hole drilling EDM designed to complement existing wire and diesinking EDMs.

Ideal for hard materials such as hardened steel and carbide, the HD 30CNC is capable of drilling holes with diameters from 0.012 inches to 0.120 inches, to a maximum depth of 7.8 inches. The machine's width and depth of 35.4 inches and 52.8 inches respectively ensures that it fits into as compact area as is possible.

The HD 30CNC features a three-axis numerical control that facilitates easy programming for fully unattended machining. The maximum travels are X 7.8 inches, Y 7.8 inches, and Z 11.8 inches. The machine can handle workpieces to a maximum weight of 661 lbs.
