KPMG E-Discovery Software Can Help More Effectively Manage Litigation Process

NEW YORK, Aug. 20 -- KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, today announced the release of Discovery Radar 3.3, a full-featured enterprise search-and-retrieval application designed to help law firms and enterprises better manage their litigation and document review process -- now in more than 300 languages.

"This application can help provide primary users such as law firms and others engaged in large-scale cases to improve their tracking and search capability for documentation, and it can improve efficiencies when engaged in multi-faceted litigation," said Kelli Brooks, a Principal with KPMG's Forensic practice and a leader in the firm's Forensic Technology Services unit. "Discovery Radar 3.3 helps enhance the ease with which our clients can manage their important documents and their litigation."

Foreign language support for 348 languages is introduced in Discovery Radar 3.3. Utilizing the industry standard UTF-8 character encoding scheme, foreign languages are supported in search and search terms, saved queries, labels, fielded data support, hit highlighting, Export, List Management, and more.

The latest release of Discovery Radar also introduces a keyword highlighting feature that enables the emphasis of significant names and phrases in documents, supports multi-colored lists to help lawyers more easily locate different categories of pertinent information, proximity phrasing, and pattern masking to help identify specific matching patterns.

Also included in this release is expanded functionality in the Review Workflow feature of the product. In addition to several review set enhancements, case managers and/or administrators can now customize and modify in real-time the Completion Criteria for individual or multiple review sets. The Completion Criteria feature assists in determining the progress of the total review process and estimating case production dates.

Discovery Radar 3.3 also includes an improved Report Writer capability that enables users to create, customize, and distribute specialized reporting that details documents and actions for specific document collections.
