Dynamic Power Pack

Highest power density within smallest space - when the company Heidolph Elektro from Kelheim, Germany, started developing their new servo motor series "HeiServo", this was the aim they always kept in mind. The result of this philosophy could now be admired at the SPS/IPC/Drives show in Nuremberg for the first time: four highly dynamic motors in an extremely compact design and with two power stages each.

Typical characteristics for these motors are their minimized moments of inertia and their outstanding degree of efficiency. The motor type 388.45 for example has a length of only 160 mm but offers a power output of 880W if being run on operating mode S1. Furthermore, the integrated resolver allows an excellent control.

The smooth profile motors are available in 4 sizes. The standard version features a protection class of IP54. However, the motors can be ordered with a protection class up to IP 65.

At a rated speed of 3.000 rpm, the servo motors show a torque between 0,55 Nm and 5 Nm, depending on their features. Maximum torque is 8000 rpm.

Connection to the control can be done very easily and fast via plug. The customer can choose the most appropriate device for his special application out of a variety of different plugs.

As an option, the motors can be equipped with an incremental encoder. Furthermore, a singe-turn encoder with a resolution of more than 256.000 impulses per rotation is available. On customer's request, the motor can be delivered in a low-voltage version. Finally, the feather key that is included in the standard version can be exchanged against a smooth shaft.
