Based on Intel's Hyper-Threading Technology, Presto! DVD PowerSuite v1.1 offers users the industry's fastest video rendering capability. Because PowerSuite v1.1 performs the image analysis and Mpeg2 compression simultaneously, NewSoft's PowerSuite is able to offer users higher performance and better quality than any other DVD editing suite. Like other editing suites, NewSoft's PowerSuite v1.1 automatically detects the CPU and uses the optimized code for encoding. However, in newer Pentium 4 systems, PowerSuite v1.1 further detects whether it would be best for one part of the coding to be performed by the SSE algorithm and another part of the coding to be handled by the SSE2 algorithm, thereby reducing the overall strain and maximizing the power of the CPU.
