Dust Collector allows continuous production.

Press Release Summary:

Whirl/Wet Dust Collection System has radiused welds so that material cannot accumulate in unit. Its 100% polypropylene construction makes it highly resistant to mechanical damage. System is available in capacities from 500 to 50,000 cfm, and suitable for applications that generate dusts larger than 2 microns. It is self-cleaning and functions without pumps or internal moving parts. PLC monitors static pressure across unit and total flow through unit.

Whirl/Wet Dust And Particulate Collector Makes Shut-Downs "A Thing Of The Past!"

Tri-Mer Corporation, a manufacturer of high-efficiency dust and powder collection systems, has introduced a 100% polypropylene dust collector for processors of pharmaceuticals, and specialty chemicals, and others who must maintain strict sanitation standards.

The Tri-Mer Whirl/Wet Dust Collection System is manufactured using a patented fabrication technique that radiuses welds so that material cannot accumulate in the unit under any condition. In addition, the unit's 100% polypropylene construction makes it structurally strong, easy to wash down, and highly resistant to mechanical damage from forklifts and other plant equipment. Most importantly for continuous-production plants, the Tri-Mer system
allows the easy removal of collected particulate, and virtually all other maintenance procedures, without shut-down of the dust collector.

The Tri-Mer Whirl/Wet is highly suitable for all applications that generate dusts larger than 2 microns. It is compatible with hydrophobic dusts. It is also ideal for use with hygroscopic
dusts that can cause agglomeration or blinding of bag collectors. The Tri-Mer Whirl/Wet will accommodate continuous heavy loading, and is ideal for mixing and blending operations and bag dump stations, where dust production is high.

The Tri-Mer Whirl/Wet is self-cleaning, and both cleaning and material drag-out are automated. The unit uses very small quantities of water, thus minimizing sludge volumes. The
system has a unique internal design that functions without pumps, complex plumbing or internal moving parts. A PLC monitors static pressure across the unit, and total flow through the unit, and will maintain system water temperature where required. Airflow and temperature monitoring can also be provided integral to the system.

The Tri-Mer Whril/Wet is manufactured to pharmaceutical standards in capacities from 500 to 50,000 cfm; applications assistance is available from a continent-wide network of
representatives.
