ATC5231 - New Processing engine for DTI's Targa Line of AdvancedTCA Platforms

Ridgeland, MS - October 26th, 2004 - Diversified Technology, Inc. announced today the release of the ATC5231 Dual Processor Blade for carrier grade solutions. The ATC5231 Processor Blade is based on the Intel E7520 Chipset and utilizes the Low Voltage Intel Xeon Processor with 800MHz System Bus in single or dual configurations. The board is compliant with the PICMG 3.0/3.1 specifications for AdvancedTCA platforms and is capable of transferring data at 6.4GB/s to the processor with the 800MHz front side bus.

The ATC5231 features the Intel Xeon processor or Low Voltage Intel Xeon processor with 800MHz System Bus with speeds up to 3.2GHz; and the Intel E7520 Chipset. System memory of up to 16GB is supported via four ECC-protected double-date-rate (DDR) SDRAM memory modules. Onboard integration features two 64-bit/100Mhz PMC sites with PCI-X compliancy, two Gigabit Ethernet base channels, two Gigabit Ethernet Expansion Fabric (ATCA 3.1, Option 1) front panel 10/100 Ethernet ports for debug, front panel serial port, Fibre Channel ports (optional), SCA2 Interface to Fibre Channel Drive support, two USB ports, three RTM Serial ports, Compact Flash carrier, and a 2.5" IDE drive.
