High Efficiency T5 Ballasts for High Performance Lighting Systems

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 15, 2005) - Universal Lighting Technologies announces the latest in high efficiency T5 ballasts with the release of their new AccuStart5 T5 ballasts (B228PUNV95-D and B228PUNV115-D) for use with F28T5 lamps. With an increase in efficiency of 8% over standard T5 ballasts, the new AccuStart5 ballasts are the most efficient ballasts for operating F28T5 lamps available today. They are ideal for use to maximize energy savings in today's new high performance T5 luminaries.

The new AccuStart5 2-lamp ballasts are available with two different ballast factor options, .95 and 1.15, to allow for flexibility in lighting design layouts. They also feature programmed start technology for long lamp life, universal input voltage (120 to 277 volts), and end-of-lamp life shutdown circuitry with auto-reset that is necessary for use with T5 diameter lamps. With ballast efficiency almost 8% higher than standard T5 ballasts, its high efficiency operation makes it easier to comply with new the ASHRAE 90.1 standard for lighting power density.

AccuStart5 High Efficiency ballasts are ideal for offices, classrooms, conference rooms, and other applications where new T5 fixtures are specified.
