DryLin N Low-Profile Linear Guides from Igus Squeeze into the Tightest Space Restrictions

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. - April 27, 2007 - DryLin® N low-profile linear guide systems from igus® Inc. are simple and easy to install. DryLin N is extremely flat with a small mounting height and width for tight space restrictions. Plastic gliding elements run in an anodized aluminum rail, which enables oil-free, maintenance-free operation. Because it is entirely self-lubricating, DryLin N is ideal for environments that prohibit the use of lubricated linear systems.

DryLin N is also ideally suited to short-travel or high-speed applications. Even at speeds up to 32 feet per second, it still runs with no lubrication and will not score the rail. An affordable alternative to bulky, messy, miniature ball bearings, DryLin N is more precise and economical when compared to many custom-machined or simple plastic parts. DryLin N can be used in medical devices, test instruments, packaging machinery, custom assembly machinery and material-handling devices. It is available in a pre-loaded version and four widths.

Like all DryLin linear guide systems, DryLin N is lubrication- and maintenance-free. It is highly resistant to dirt, dust and contaminants. It's also corrosion-resistant and lightweight. DryLin N incurs low wear and also has a low coefficient of friction.
